Having spent many years living and kitesurfing in Tarifa before moving to Taíba, Brazil, I'm often asked how the two destinations compare.
The truth is that both are fantastic kitesurfing destinations. Tarifa has earned its reputation as Europe's kitesurfing capital, while Taíba has become one of Brazil's most popular spots for riders seeking reliable wind, warm water, and excellent wave-riding conditions.
So which one is right for you?

Tarifa can produce incredible wind, but it can also be unpredictable. Strong Levante winds may be too powerful for some riders, while Poniente days can sometimes leave you waiting.
